Cause of Swelling
Some patients may experience temporary swelling on the forehead and around the eyes following a hair transplant. This is caused by the fluids and local anesthetic used in the procedure moving downward due to the effects of gravity.
When Does It Subside?
Swelling typically reaches its peak 2–3 days after the procedure and begins to subside in the following days.
Ways to Reduce It
Applying cold compresses, sleeping with your head elevated, and, in some cases, taking medication can help reduce swelling.
