What Is a Graft?
A graft is a small piece of tissue taken from the scalp that contains one or more hair follicles. A graft typically contains 1–4 hair strands.
How Is the Number of Grafts Determined?
The degree of hair loss, the size of the recipient area, and the desired density determine the required number of grafts.
Effects of the Number of Grafts
More grafts do not necessarily mean better results. Proper distribution and technique can influence the visual outcome more than the number of grafts.
